Educational Requirements
2/4 yr turf degree
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 2 -3 years golf course grounds experience
Must have or be able to obtain Michigan certified spray license
Must be organized with the ability to run a crew
Must be able to improvise and adjust to handle priorities as they occur
Must have mechanical knowledge and ability to maintain equipment and irrigation breakdowns
Must play golf, have an understanding of the Rules of Golf and have a passion for its history

Qualifications
Associates or bachelor degree in Agronomy, Turf Grass Management or Golf Course Management and two years of golf course maintenance experience OR any combination of education and experience sufficient to perform duties of the position.

Responsibilities
To maintain the golf course in a manner that offers the golfer consistant quality conditions. Responsibilities to include: Supervision to direct and properly train maintance personal. Chemical and fertilizer applications. Water management, budgeting, purchasing, record keeping, maintaining clubhouse landscaping and some equipment maintenance.
Requirements
Education background in turfgrass management preferred or equivalent work experience. Wisconsin Pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain. Organizational skills and basic computer knowledge. Experience in equipment maintenance. Familiarity with Toro irrigation / Watertronics pump stations a plus.
